Taking in the Sunshine

Taking in the Sunshine

All in a row, pelicans taking in the sunshine in Mexico’s Cabo San Juan.

A group of pelicans and a cormorant resting on a log in calm waters, surrounded by lush greenery.

A trio of pelican photos were featured on “Freedom to Fly.”

  1. Perfect sunning spot!

    1. I agree! 😁

  2. They are not only basking in the sun, but eyeing the water for fish too I’ll bet. They look as happy as the turtles basking on a log.

    1. I hadn’t thought of that but I bet you are right. Waiting for their next meal to swim by. 😉

      1. A fellow blogger travels south every Winter. She has photographed groups of White Pelicans and they hang out around the harbor where the fishermen bring in their catch. She said they all group around, waiting for a handout, but she also watches them fishing for their own food too.

        1. Must be wonderful to watch them. 😉

          1. Yes, she has taken videos too. I also follow a blogger who lives in Tennessee and the White Pelicans migrate through and she takes photos and videos as that happens as well.

    1. Thanks, Pamela. 😉

  3. They found a great spot!

    1. They sure did! 😉

  4. More than just pelicans, it looks like. Nice catch

    1. So true. There are three birds of another kind. 😉
