A stroll through Saguaro National Park in Tucson, Arizona. During the month of December, the average high temperature there is 66°F. With 128 miles of hiking trails, winter is a great time to explore.

  3. We have country like that here, but the vegetation it grows there is very different, so it is really good to see these and see what grows there.

  11. I visited years ago when I lived in Phoenix and found it amazing. I saw my first roadrunner there.

    1. Love seeing those roadrunners scampers across the desert. Phoenix was at the top of our list of places we were considering moving to a couple of years ago. 😉

  12. Ouch for those big spines! I have read this is a unique place to see those tall cacti. Terri is going to Tucson this week and plans to visit there. She is vacationing in Arizona and California this month.

    1. Yes, this is a gorgeous place especially for seeing all kinds of cacti blooming. I’ve only been there once during the winter and another time in the middle of July. I would recommend going in the winter when the temps were perfect.
