It’s an open and shut case for doors of all kinds. Simple, ornate, curved, wood, metal, inside, and outside. Some stand open and inviting, while others are shut to keep people out.

Contrasts in style
First, the ornate and historic peacock doors at the Palmer House in Chicago. Moving on to the simplicity of an open door to the garden at Chellberg Farm – Indiana Dunes National Park.

Curved Doorways
Two curved doorways on each end with doors closed and locked tightly. In the center, doorways open and flowing from room to room.Surprisingly, the Endless Doors are at the Fortress San Cristobal in Puerto Rico. The first closed door is at Greenfield Village at The Henry Ford Museum. The wooden curved doors are at Wegerzn Gardens in Dayton, Ohio.

In the Garden
Lastly, the two doorways divide sections of Hamstra Gardens in Wheatfield, Indiana. A view from the window in the distance on the image on the right was featured on “Eye Catching View.”
