        Yes, a covered bridge on a hike is the icing on the cake! Yes, I’ve been to this one, a portion of another one Downriver and will go to another one once it gets a little cooler.

                      Thanks for the weather update, Linda. Have you ever been to Debuck’s Family Farm in Belleville? Hoping to take my granddaughter there soon to see the sunflowers.

                      You’re welcome Pepper. I did buy an advance ticket to go a few years ago, but got lost and ended up driving in the country and ended up at Lower Huron Metropark, which, interestingly was in the same zip code as DeBuck’s. There was a fork in the road which was not in my Google Map directions, and I took the wrong road. I know it is nice and they now have a Lavender Festival in July there as well.

                      Yes, try it out, as it is supposed to be nice. They planted it maybe five years ago. I was following them on Facebook before I went (or tried to go anyway). I didn’t go until after Labor Day as I recall. I think they have a pumpkin patch and if memory serves me right, I booked my appointment later as I was hoping to see pumpkins as well.

                      Yes, that’s what I thought too. I am sure I booked two passes, one for one Saturday and one for the following Saturday in case it was a rainy weekend and the second Saturday was about pumpkins too. I looked on my blog post and I tried to get there September 7th (2019). I just looked on their website and the Fall Festival starts September 12th. I wonder if I didn’t try again due to the weather. I see you going twice with your granddaughter.

                      They are advertising their Fall Festival as:

                      I am sure you’ll have a great time there – they have some fun things for kids as I recall (I was following them on social media when I planned to go) and you can pick bouquets as well.

      A perfect description of the entire trail. It definitely was not traversed much and a couple of times I had to turn around. Trees and shrubs were so overgrown that I couldn’t get through but it was exactly the type of trail that I enjoy the most. 😁

      Thank you, Suzette. Wishing I could take credit for intentionally taking the shot from that perspective. In reality, the trail led upwards toward the bridge going over the creek so all I had to do was click. 😉
