Beautiful animal – you were lucky to see her. I followed April the Giraffe, several years ago. She was at a zoo and they monitored her in her stall and her outside pasture until she gave birth. There were a lot of people following her story.
I did not know about April so I googled her. What a neat story. 😊
Yes, many on social media were captivated with April and her baby and many people watched the live birth. They had a web cam in her living quarters and her mate, who was in a nearby living quarters, came over to visit his offspring a day or two later. It was very heartwarming.
