Captured From One Spot

From One Spot

Four images captured from one spot at Kensington Metropark in Milford, Michigan. Standing halfway down the boardwalk provided the perfect view of life along Wildwing Lake.

A wooden boardwalk extending through a lush green landscape with trees, surrounded by water and tall grasses under a blue sky.

First, on a small island across the lake sits a Great Blue Heron rookery. The tall bottlebrush grass provides a perfect perch for birds such as the Red-winged Blackbirds. On the water, sits the lotus buds covered by beetles and other insects. Finally, a view of a swan nesting in the midst of the grass.

Another gallery of a trail at Kensington Metropark was featured on One Step at a Time #9.

  2. Pepper, to be stuck in a place like this is a dream come true. You covered it all from long lenses to macros. What gorgeous photos you shared with us!

  3. Pepper, these are lovely from start to finish. The little ladybugs on the flower are an especially great catch!
