An empty bench facing the water always slows me down, and this one does it before you even sit. I look for these on my hikes too, the spots that ask you to stop and just be there for a while. Thanks for the quiet minute, Pepper.

This is a very tranquil spot as you round the corner on the Cherry Island Trail. A place to take a load off your feet and your mind.

What a beautiful spot to sit and contemplate life. This is almost identical to a photo I have of a bench facing a tranquil pond in one of my favorite environmental preserves. I sat on that bench in memory of my father on the anniversary of his death and I try to go back every year to do the same.
