I know! I never spend much time editing but it was almost impossible not to touch it up a little. The biggest surprise for me was that I spent a lot more time in thinking through the shot before I clicked. I knew this one would be the one used for Brian’s challenge and I didn’t want it to be terrible. Yes, it’s a pride thing. 😂
I never realized they were so intricate in the middle portion, nor did I realize they had irregular shapes on the ends of the petals.
Gotta love those tiny details. Noticing those tiny details is what got me hooked on macro photography. Have a wonderful weekend, Linda. 😊
I follow a blogger who is a macro photographer and his photo details are just amazing. He especially likes photographing bugs and has a fondness for jumping spiders which he says look cute close up … they kind of do. The other spiders though not so much. Tom also writes about mindfulness in his blog, along with the microphotography.

I haven’t forgotten! Sorry for the delay! I was confused; what I actually photographed at Cooper’s Rock was not chicory but a tea berry, a/k/a wintergreen plant. I’ll post it later this morning!
