  1. Gorgeous shot, Pepper! Such a pretty, long-legged bird!

    1. Thanks, Donna. The sandhill cranes at Kensington Park are so used to having people around that it is easy to photography them. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  2. What a beautiful colours, gray and red.. Beautiful photograph, Thank you, Love, nia

    1. Thank you so much. I am glad you enjoyed the sandhill crane. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  3. This makes me think of Summertime walks. He/she was rejoicing that the snow was gone no doubt. A Michigan blogger I follow was at Kensington recently and saw a Sandhill Crane laying down in the snow by the Nature Center. It had a lot of rust-colored feathers.

    1. This one was taken not far from the Nature Center. There are many Sandhill Cranes that stay here through the winter.

      1. I have never seen the pair of Sandhill Cranes at Lake Erie Metropark in Winter, so I wonder where they go. They usually hang out in one area and I actually never saw them all last Summer or Fall. They may have relocated.

        1. They probably headed to Kensington. I’ll keep an eye out for them. ๐Ÿ˜‰

          1. There are a lot of them there, lots of “colts” in the Springtime too. The Metropark Kensington Photographers group is full of the Sandhill Cranes and their offspring every Spring.

            1. There’s a Kensington photographers group? On WordPress?

              1. No, on Facebook. I had mentioned it to you before, but you said you were not on Facebook. I don’t look at the photos much in the Winter, but I especially enjoy all the photos people post in Spring with the bird babies, then fawns too.

                1. Oh, that’s right. I remember that now that you mention it. OH, those senior moments. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Thoughtful words accomplish much.
