Primate Tension: A Heartwarming Encounter at the Fort Worth Zoo

As I was strolling through the World of Primates recently, I came upon a bit of primate tension, but a heartwarming encounter at the Fort Worth Zoo. Two gorillas seemed to be at a standstill. One was looking at the other with a steady glare of silence while the other was definitely sending out a message of, “I can’t hear you!

Tension in the World of Primates

I stood there and watched them for quite a while and couldn’t help smiling. I can relate to both of the gorillas. There’s been times when I’ve wanted to cover my ears to block out all the noise of the world. I have probably also sent out an angry glare of silence at one time or another.

Come on! I’m not alone here, am I? Haven’t you felt the same way at least once? Feel free to respond in the comments and I promise not to tell a soul. 😉

Such recognizable emotions must mean that these emotions and their expression in primates precedes humankind by a long time
