Peering Through the Forest of Trees

Sunshine, playfully peering through the forest of trees.

A sunbeam shining through lush green trees in a forest, creating a starburst effect amidst the foliage.

This image was taken in August of 2021 on the trails of the Indiana Dunes National Park. Another sunburst from across the Pacific Ocean was featured on “The Road to Adventures in Maui.”

  1. Love this shot! I’m impressed that the sunshine was able to penetrate the thick canopy of greens.

    1. Yay! So glad you like it. I am always in search of sunshine. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  2. Amazing shot, Pepper!

    1. Thanks, Donna.

  3. Mesmerizing ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Glad I am not the only one that starbursts have that effect on. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  4. Beautiful starburst shot through the foliage.

    1. Thanks! It is impossible to resist shooting a sunburst. ๐Ÿ˜‰

  5. That starburst of sunshine is amazing amid all the green!

    1. Thanks! Soon all the green will be back. ๐Ÿ˜

      1. It is sure getting there with this warm-up we had today!

        1. Yes, it was lovely and this morning’s sunrise was gorgeous! ๐Ÿ˜

          1. Sunset is almost into the 7:00 p.m. hour now and I’m enjoying the earlier sunrises too.

            1. Morning person that I am makes me so glad that sunrise is slowly getting earlier and earlier. ๐Ÿ˜

              1. Same here – I will not be happy when the Daylight Savings Time arrives and it stays dark longer again in the morning.

                1. Oh, that’s right! That had slipped my mind completely. I will learn to be grateful for the extra time to head out the door in the mornings. ๐Ÿ˜Š

                  1. When I was still working, I worked remotely and didn’t start until 11:30 a.m. so I had time to walk, get home, eat before I started work, but when the time changed it messed me up. Sometimes in October I was lucky to get two miles walked on days when it was very gray.

                    1. I try to hike every day but it can be tough to get those miles in during the winter.

                    2. Yes, it is. I did well last week getting out for a walk with the camera as it was warmish and sunny – but two of three parks I visited were still snowy and icy. The past few mornings have not been great for walking … this time of year it is tough to get everything lined up to go.

  6. Oh, so beautiful. When the sun peeks through the trees, it reminds me of how God watches, and sees us no matter where we are. Lovely!

    1. What a beautiful thought! I’ll think of that every time I see a sunburst now. Thank you much. ๐Ÿ˜Š

  7. Love that green! ๐Ÿ’š
