One Step at a Time #5

A Casual Stroll

One Step at a Time #5 includes four more images of my steps while in Dallas, Texas. A peaceful stroll through the Texas Sculpture Garden continues from my earlier post, “The Clock Rider.” The first image was captured while roaming from sculpture to sculpture in the outdoors. I can’t pass up reflections without taking a picture, of course!

A serene view of a creek surrounded by lush green trees and vegetation, reflecting the trees in its calm water.

Below on the left is “The Headstand,” carved stone by sculptor Dominic Benhura. The blue businessman on the right, is named “Time Management,” by Zad Roumaya. He seems to be in a hurry, doesn’t he?

The final photo below, features “The Arbor” by Jim Cinquemane.

A view of a park gazebo structure with trees in the foreground and a serene pond in the background, featuring a fountain and a stone bridge.

Last week’s participants are worth checking out if you haven’t.
Donna shared some beautiful landscapes and ground squirrels.
Linda had the cutest bunny post.
Egidio captured a series of spring blossoms.
Terri brought some beautiful sparkling rocks.

  3. What a great area to visit! I took a hike in a new location, a private preserve in our county. Here’s the post:

      1. Okay, great – I wasn’t sure, so now I know for the future.

  6. Pepper, here is my walk I posted about on Sunday. I walked before planting myself in one spot to watch the heron walking. ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. Perfect! You took a step or two and so did the heron. ๐Ÿ˜‚

      1. Yes, we did – I didn’t know if I should post yesterday/last night as you had mentioned the posts from last week. The heron had a hilarious walk at my expense unfortunately. ๐Ÿ™‚

  7. Pepper, hereโ€™s my response to the challenge. Sorry that I missed last week, but things over at Heavenly Raindrops-land have been bumpy. Iโ€™ll be posting about it later this week. Your challenge is such a great jumping off place, for my travel/trekking photos. Blessings, friend. https://heavenlyraindrops.com/2026/04/14/stay-rooted-in-christ-resilient-bald-cypress/

  10. Looks like a great sculpture park!

    1. It really is! It was also a lovely day for strolling. ๐Ÿ˜Š

  11. These are unique sculptures in a picturesque setting. I liked these sculptures about time management and yes, the fellow on the right does seem to be in a hurry.

    1. I took a chance by going to this Sculpture Park because I knew nothing about it. It was a wonderful surprise. ๐Ÿ˜Š

      1. Those little impromptu trips are the best sometimes! I wanted to go to the Sunflower Festival in Belleville a few years ago. I got lost and ended up on a drive in the country and had the best time. It reminded me of Sunday drives with my parents in the country in August and September to all the farmers’ produce stands. I found a sunflower field and also found Lower Huron Metropark that day which ended up being in the same zipcode as the Sunflower Festival – it was great (except I pre-paid my ticket for that day and never found the place).

        1. I bet you had a better time by getting lost and avoiding the crowds. ๐Ÿ˜‰ I had no idea there was a sunflower festival in Michigan.

          1. Yes, I did to be honest. I’m not big on crowds and this was in September 2019, so before the pandemic, but there is a place called DeBucks (they were the farm that was hit with the E0 tornado a week ago Saturday). They have sunflower fields galore and a sunflower festival in September. Since I planned to go there in 2019, they now have a lavender festival. I think that is in July. There is a place in northern Michigan that does not have a festival, but is a huge field of sunflowers. I think you can pick them too. Jill, the photographer I mentioned, goes on photo shoots. It is in Allegan, Gorby Sunflowers.

            1. I’ll look it up. Thanks! ๐Ÿ˜Š

              1. You’re welcome Pepper – all the flowers and no hype. It might be a better photographic experience.

Thoughtful words accomplish much.
