One Step at a Time #28

One Step at a Time #28

Bringing the first hints of autumn for One Step at a Time #28. All three images were captured on my hike yesterday at Island Lake Recreation Area. Do you see the touches of yellow on the foliage?

Thanks to all who shared a post last week. Here are the links from last week’s prompt. Please let me know if I have missed anyone.

Frank shared beautiful pics of the warmth of Miami Beach.
Egidio’s steps took him to an assortment of beautiful bridges.
Sarah’s walk resulted in a gallery from wonderful landscapes to artworks.
A fun trip down memory lane was taken by Linda.
Suzette’s steps led her down a winding path on a lovely day.
Gorgeous landscapes on higher ground were taken by Xenia.
Teresa shared a lovely collection of bridges, benches, and artwork.
Taking time for a closer look paid off in abundance for Anita.
Sue brought gorgeous Alaskan waterscapes with mountain backdrops.
Terri captured animals from cute horses to a Longhorn bull.

    1. These are all amazing captures of God’s beauty in nature. Love the second rainbow on the last image. πŸ‘

      1. Yes. It’s very faint!

  1. All seasons have something to commend them, but I do especially look forward to the foliage color time!

    1. So true that all seasons have beauty to offer. Thanks for stopping by and commenting. 😊

  2. I’m seeing almost the same amount of turning fall foliage here in the central piedmont of North Carolina. What a nice trail!

    1. Thanks for commenting, Earl. I have never been to North Carolina but I imagine it must be lovely there. Hope to get there one day.

  3. A lovely and colourful preview of what’s to come

    1. Thanks! Thinking it is about to change quickly. 😊

    1. Enjoyed your hints of autumn, Suzette. So glad that fall colors have made an appearance. 😊

      1. It has, I am very happy. Thanks, Pepper.

  4. I see the touches of yellow but your trees are still far more green than most of ours. The succession of heatwaves and long drought period has led to them turning brown prematurely and many are already dropping their leaves πŸ™

But further north in Yorkshire I found plenty of green in a woodland walk which I hope you’ll enjoy: https://www.toonsarah-travels.blog/a-walk-in-hackfall-wood/

    1. We have had a lot of rain recently and the green has hung on. I enjoyed your post so much, Sarah. Thanks so much for the link so that others can enjoy your images too,. 😊

  5. I love the lush greens in this gallery. Here in Colorado, where I’m staying this week, fall foliage is in full bloom. My post, however, is about a short walk at a trail near home:

        1. My pleasure. 😊

  6. Those first tinges of yellow are pretty Pepper – with this coolish weather, we’ll have more leaves turning soon I think.

    1. Thanks, Linda. I am so looking forward to the brighter autumn colors. 😊

      1. Yes, me too Pepper.

  7. Beautiful hints of autumn in the leaves. Wonderful gallery, Pepper.. Love the last image’s ornate tree branches.

    1. Thanks, Suzette. It is good to finally see some fall colors. 😊
