One Step at a Time #16

One Step at a Time #16

One Step at a Time #16 – As I headed home from an appointment, I decided to take the long way and avoid any freeways. That is how I randomly came across Orchard Lake Nature Sanctuary. Of course I had to stop to explore this 50-acre wooded area in Orchard Lake Village, Michigan.

Where have your adventures taken you this week? Your shared photos from last week were wonderful. Through the pics, I enjoyed joining each person on their steps to adventures.

  2. What a pleasant surprise

    1. It sure was. 😊

    2. Yes, it was. 😊

  3. I’m loving the daisies. Here’s my take. This one is REALLY a stretch. My camera took me to a zoo in the sky, of sorts. Blessings..https://heavenlyraindrops.com/2026/07/01/many-are-gods-works-fireworks-explosion/

    1. A lovely zoo in the sky, Sue! 😁

  4. So many wonderful views to see on our walks!

    1. That’s for sure. 😉

  5. You have a lot of woodsy areas to explore near you Pepper. I like the daisies – they are so fresh and nothing says Summer like daisies. Thank you for the mention from last week and here is my post from this week.

(For some reason, when I went to get the link, my blog background is pink, not flowered. They did ask me to change my old background before June 15th; that was a few months ago and I changed it the same day I got the e-mail, but this time they changed it all on their own.)

    1. Yes, we do. We chose Milford because Kensington Metropark is practically in our backyard. To my surprise, I have found so many more nature trails that are also close by. I have enjoyed exploring them so much! 😁

      1. Yes, Oakland County has a wealth of nature trails and parks. You were smart to be near Kensington Park, which I think is the best of the 13 Michigan Metroparks from what I see in the Facebook Huron Metropark Photographers Group.

        1. I agree. Kensington is pretty special. 😉

  6. Loving those daisies, Pepper.

    1. Yay! I love coming across beautiful blossoms out in the middle of nowhere. Not planted or cared for by human hands. God’s creation amazes me. 😁

  7. Urban oases are always such a wonderful discovery.

    1. I agree completely. I will be stopping by here again. 😊

    1. Yay, so glad you enjoyed the green. I am trying to get out there to enjoy the green for as long as possible. 😊

  8. I always love the lakes among the trees… so peaceful. Here is mine for this week: https://wanderingteresa.com/travel-diary-dauin-day-4/
