One Step at a Time #15

One Step at a Time #15

For this week’s One Step at a Time #15, I spent some time at the Proud Lake Recreation Area in Commerce Township, Michigan. This area is quickly becoming one of my favorite spots because of its many nature trails. This time, I decided to try the Chief Pontiac Equestrian Trail. With a forecast of heavy rain soon, I intentionally didn’t stray too far from my car. I was able to hike about two miles before I felt the first sprinkles of rain.

The photo above was taken at the beginning of my hike. The sky was brighter compared to the grayer skies below taken close at the end of my adventure.

  5. Pepper, I missed this post yesterday and realized that when you did your post today and it wasn’t “One Step at a Time” … this is nice and looks inviting. That is one issue when you hike in big parks if you are too far from the car – you and the camera get drenched. It does look so green here and very lush.

Here is my walkaround to check out those cute goslings:

    1. Thanks for the link to your wonderful post, Linda. I have my One Step posts scheduled to go live at midnight on Tuesdays so you didnโ€™t miss it yesterday. I just happened to add second post this evening because the Ragtag Daily Prompt was โ€œtrailโ€ and I couldnโ€™t pass it up. ๐Ÿ˜‰

      1. Okay, that’s why – it went at midnight. I usually check before I turn off the computer. Glad to share my walk with the munchkins for this Challenge.

  6. It definitely looks like itโ€™s going to rain from your pictures. Glad you managed to squeeze in a hike before the rain!

    1. So am I. It started raining right as I got back to my car. ๐Ÿ˜ฎ

  7. Found your blog via Terri. Thought I’d jump in. I love the idea of this challenge. I love exploring new places and familiar places. I’m sharing my post I did for Sunday Stills since many of my photos were taken while walking through parks, exploring our local refuge and other great places.

  8. Hi Pepper, lovely places to walk, you’re so lucky! I miss the bike trail we lived so close to in Sacramento. But when moose walk in our backyard here in Washington, it’s a thrill! Thank you for this one step challenge, I’m glad it has become so popular! Here is mine:
