One Step at a Time #10

This week’s One Step at a Time #10 is a follow up to a post from a few days ago “View of the Huron RIver.” This is Delhi Metropark, one of 14 Metroparks in the Detroit area. Photos from the other Metroparks will be coming shortly.

  2. Pepper, I didn’t even know that you photos contain a bridge for this week. Guess we both have bridges on the brain!https://heavenlyraindrops.com/2026/05/21/bridges-that-connect-us/

    1. Great minds think alike! 😂

  3. Thank you for the mention Pepper. This park looks very lush and green with lots of grass for the geese to graze and raise their brood.

Here is my walk from my Sunday post, a stroll around picturesque Heritage Park:

  5. I am speculating that is called a metropark because it is found right in the city. Do you know why “Delhi”? It is a balm to have such beautiful green spaces like this right in the city. Singapore is very much this way.

      1. Ju-Lyn, of course you can join in. This is open for the entire week so this is perfect that you added the link here. It’ll be included for this week’s prompt. Thank you for sharing.

      2. Uh, oh! I have tried several times to open your link and for some reason, it is not loading. I have tried several times and for some reason, your site is not opening. I will try again because I really want to see your post. Thanks, Ju-Lyn

        1. Oh no! I’m not sure why the link doesn’t work. I just tested it and it seems fine ….

    1. Great question! Yes, the Huron-Clinto Metroparks are all found within Metro Detroit in Michigan. The parks are all along the Huron River and Clinton River. According to the info I found online, Delhi Metropark was named after Delhi Township which is where the park is located. We’ve only lived here little over one year and my plan is to dig into the history of the area over time. Thanks for your comment, Ju-Lyn. 😊

      1. Ah! You have just moved – how exciting! Thank you for including us in your exploration.
