  1. The transition from the Great Plains in the east to the Rocky Mountains in the west is gradual, but punctuated by the smaller ranges. The scenery in the Wind River Valley is my favorite part of the state.

    1. Wyoming is one of my favorite places to visit in the US. I have not had a chance to explore the Wind River Valley yet. Most of my time in Wyoming has been in Saratoga on the North Platte River Valley.

  2. I’ve never been to Wyoming – the mountains almost look like a sandpiles.

    1. Yes, they do. The first pic was taken in late November so there is a little snow on the tops of the mountains already. The second photo was taken earlier in the year and about 17 miles SW from the first one.

  3. Beautiful. Yep, Wyoming can get barren and desolate. Similar to areas, east of where we live.

    1. Thanks! It must be beautiful where you live too. 😊

  4. It does look desolate and the old trees are hanging in there looking wonderful

    1. Both photos are two spots in the South Central part of WY. The first pic is overlooking a valley captured toward the end November. There is actually a runway in the foreground in front of the line of trees. The second image was taken in early September at Brush Creek Ranch which sits on the edge of a National Forest.

  5. Beautiful contrasting views. I love the angles you used.

    1. Thanks, Egidio. So glad to see you back.

      1. Thanks, Pepper. It’s good to be back after a wonderful trip.

    1. Thanks, Xenia. Wyoming is a beautiful place. 😊

  7. Rugged landscapes!

    1. It sure is! Can you imagine crossing this land on a wagon? 😮

      1. Ooh, pioneers were made of tough stuff!

        1. Absolutely. 😊

  8. Beautiful perspectives, Pepper!

    1. Thanks, Terri. 😊
