Lovely shot ๐๐
Thanks! ๐
Looks beautiful. This makes me want to head outdoors and go for a hike.
Let’s go! Meet you out on the trails. ๐
It sure beats sitting behind a desk all day, even if it’s cold outside.
I couldnโt agree more. ๐
It looks magical!
You are so right, Anita. Our sand dunes in Indiana are not super high as compared to mountains in other states. The area around the dunes is very flat and surrounded by wetlands on one side and Lake Michigan on the other. That results in a magical feel on those misty, early mornings. ๐
Love the layers of mountaintops and fog inbetween, very pretty!
This is one of two spots in our area that gives the best overview of the wetlands and Great Marsh from the top of a sand dune. With the right weather conditions, it really makes it seem like it is way up higher than it actually is at 176 feet. In the summer, the toughest part is climbing up the super soft sand. It often feels like you can take one huge step up and then sink back down half of that as you take the next step. ๐
Very atmospheric. Love it.
Thanks, Sandy. The sand dunes of Indiana are still pretty amazing to me even after all the years we have lived here. ๐
That’s wonderful!
Gorgeous morning capture of this expansive, layered mountain view! ๐
Thanks, Phil. It was a lovely morning for hiking to the top of the dunes to watch the sunrise. ๐
Thoughtful words accomplish much.
