It’s a Small World

Macro Monday – It’s a small world in the sphere of insects. Stop and take a closer look as you walk past the flowers. The tiniest of details along the trail or in the garden are easily missed. Not only is the insect world small, but bugs often blend in with their surroundings.

Have you noticed that wherever there is bright sunshine, shadows follow? In the darkness of those shadows is a perfect hiding places for tiny creatures. I should also warn you – spiders know that shadows are good hiding places too. Yes, I have walked or bent over into more than one spiderweb. Oops!

I often have to remind myself to slow down for a closer look. Otherwise, I would have missed a cicada or dragonfly that were featured on “A Noisy Brood
