A letter written to my hundred year old self to be read in 35 years and 21 days. By then, it’ll all be new again because I will probably have forgotten what I’ve written!.

Hello to my 100 year old self. Hard to believe that I’ve made it through an entire century of learning from some of life’s darkest days alongside some of the greatest joys. My prayer is that I have remembered that a “good life” is not about me and what I have accomplished. It is all about keeping my eyes on Jesus Christ. Did I follow Christ or the wants of the world? On the hardest days, did I lift my eyes and hands up in the air and say, “It’s all going to be fine. God’s got this one for me!” On the best days, did I remember to say, “Thank you, Jesus!“

When peace like a river attendeth my way
When sorrows like sea billows roll
Whatever my lot, Thou has taught me to say
It is well, it is well with my soul

At 100 years old, is it well with my soul?
