Imperfect Beauty

Nature’s bright blooming colors have mostly disappeared in the Midwest but beauty is still around. This coneflower’s imperfect beauty was captured near the end of its season of blooming.

As we head closer to winter, it is harder to find the beauty but it is there. Sometimes it is the dry, browning petals waving in the wind that catches my attention. Beauty in imperfection is around the whole year round.

An earlier post, Blending of Colors, features a coneflower at its peak.
