Fiery Colors of Autumn

Two of my favorite months to enjoy the outdoors are October and November because of the fiery colors of autumn. This year, the blending of colorful leaves has been amazing in Michigan. Not only is it pretty but it is also so much fun! I still enjoy hearing the crackling of autumn leaves under my feet as I hike along the trail.

These were taken last week at Ott Biological Preserve in Battle Creek, Michigan. In the last few days the temperature has fallen enough for a light covering of snow on the ground. I can’t wait to get back soon to see what changes the first snow has made.

Shades of Autumn

What about you? Are you experiencing fall colors or the brightness of spring in your neck of the woods?

Shades of autumn from a few years back in Indiana can be seen on Autumn Colors .

  1. […] My favorite part has been finding trails to explore. Fall has been the most beautiful season for hiking as seen on an earlier post “Fiery Colors of Autumn.” […]

  2. I’m late to commenting. I love these. I don’t love the rain we get in the PNW during the fall, but I absolutely love the colors.

    2. Hey, Kirstin. Is it possible to comment on your site without a Goggle account. Went to your site and would like to comment but didn’t seem to be able to. So sorry.

  3. Gorgeous!! In the first photo, leaves hanging on look like butterflies.

    1. Thanks, Esther. The leaves were fluttering about like butterflies too. 😁

      1. That’s a great way to describe it
