Even on Doors

even on doors

There’s beauty in simplicity, even on doors. I came across this log cabin at the Johnson Nature Center in Bloomfield, Michigan.

A wooden door with a dark handle set in a log cabin wall, accompanied by a small stump on the side.

A grander entrance was featured on “The Abbey.”

  1. I’ll bet it still smells nice, even if it’s not freshly hewn

  2. What I like about natural wood, as in this photo, is that it shows use and wear, the passage of time and a bit of history. It kinda gives you a glimpse of all those who have passed before.

    1. Exactly! So glad it hasn’t been painted over. 😊
