Cropped With a Purpose

What’s more fun than showing off a flower glowing like sunshine in an image? Taking that same photo and editing it three different ways. The first image below is the original, followed by three copies cropped with a purpose.

That purpose is in response to Leanne’s Monochrome Madness Challenge for this week. The challenge is taking one image cropped three ways.

The original image was intentionally captured to fill the frame. The edit below is my favorite of all after being cropped and flipped.

  4. Excellent details!

    1. Thanks! 😊

  5. I am glad you chose a flower. I was thinking the same but converting to monochrome didn’t sit right.
I didn’t think of all the one colour flower πŸ™„

    1. I tried exactly that first, converting it to b&w, and didn’t like it as much. Great minds think alike! 😁

  6. These are great crops and shows the flower differently in each one, though it is meant to be in monochrome, though I suppose it is all yellow, so that could be considered that. I take it back.

    1. Thank you for accepting these as monochrome, Leanne. Have a great rest of the week. 😊

  7. I agree, you saved the best for last!

    1. Thank you very much. I hadn’t even considered cropping it that way until this challenge. I guess it helps to think outside the box. 😁

  8. For some reason, I’ve missed so many of your posts. Your pictures are stunning, Pepper! It’s really breathtaking.

    1. Thanks, Filipa. I have not been very consistent in blogging for the last 7 months or so. It has been a busy few months but things have settled down now. 😊

  9. Beautiful! Thank you, Pepper!

    1. Thank you, Filipa. So glad to see you drop by. 😊

  10. Thanks to dramatic compositions, I like both the original and the last one better than the middle pair.

    1. I agree with you completely. It was fun trying the different crops. 😊
