Contrasts in Nature

Two landscapes showing contrasts in nature. The first was captured at Rogers Lakewood Park in Valparaiso, Indiana. After a light snowfall overnight, I watched the sunrise on a chilly morning on December of 2022.

Below, we traveled southwest across the United States to Saguaro National Park. What a difference one year and 1450 miles can make. With blue skies, mountains, and cacti, the temperature was perfectly comfortable in Arizona at the end of December, 2023.

A couple more landscapes from Saguaro National Park were posted on “Captured Along the Way.”

  1. Both photos are beautiful but I’d definitely rather be in Arizona in December!

    1. I think most will agree with you as well. 😉

  2. These are both great, but I really love that first shot, the colours are gorgeous

    1. I really like that one too! It was one of my favorite spots to watch the sunrise. 😊

  3. That’s quite the difference in the time of day and year as well as the landscape. Both are beautiful in their own way.

    1. I did enjoy both places. 😉

  4. If it is December, I think I’ll choose door #2! 😀

    1. Very good choice. 😊

Thoughtful words accomplish much.
