Contrast in Textures

On a recent visit to Mattheai Botanical Gardens, I came across a contrast in textures billowing out from a white anthurium. The main entrance to the gardens leads into a conservatory with three rooms. Moving through each room took me from the tropics to arid dryness. Images of textures normally found in the desert can be seen in “Cry of Pain.”

  1. This flower reminds me of Snake plant. A large clump of these plants look beautiful.
