Spotted an insect moving from blossom to blossom along the trail last month. This was captured while hiking the Douglas Trail at the Indiana Dunes National Park.

Get to the blossoms while the goin’ is great. My neighbor’s Magnolia tree is blossoming again. That’s twice this year so far.
That is amazing. We had a magnolia tree in our backyard in Indiana and I never saw it bloom twice. I hope you get some pics of the blossoms. 😉
I should have while I was outside today before the wind and the rain. Hopefully the heat doesn’t make the petals drop quickly. Last year it bloomed three or four times … it did not always do that as I would have noticed. I pass it every time I go to the garage.
Magnolia blossoms around here don’t last too long, do they?
No, sadly they don’t last long. I’m sure the two torrential rains we had today will likely have decimated my neighbor’s magnolia tree blossoms. Last time, it was the wind that scattered the petals, then a hard freeze that night.
I wonder if it was the hard freeze that caused them to bloom again. . . 🤔
That’s a good question because they didn’t have the blossoms fall off on their own after opening up fully?
