Autumn Leaves

  1. Beautiful capture. The autumn is my favourite time of the year, even if it’s a bit darker and wetter.

    1. Thanks. I enjoy autumn too. Second only to spring. 😊

  2. The way the golden leaves contrast with that dark water is beautiful. There’s such a peaceful, calming vibe to this reflection! πŸ‚βœ¨

    1. Yay! The sunshine really did all the work on this one. 😊

  3. That’s down the road for us unfortunately. One year we got a wet snow and I got out and photographed the red leaves from my neighbor’s Red Maple contrasting with the snow. It made for a nice photo.

    1. That must have been a lovely contrast. 😊

      1. Yes, it was striking as the leaves were wet and it intensified the color. One year we got freezing rain before I cut my roses down and I made a post of the frozen rose buds and ice dripping from them.

        1. Must have been a wonderful post. 😊

          1. I’ll tell you that it’s good I got outside when I did because about an hour later, the snow had melted. Another time we had snow a few days after Halloween and my neighbor had several pumpkins on his porch and they had snow on top, on the cutout “eyes” which made an unusual picture.

            1. Good for you for getting the pic before the snow melted. 😊

              1. Yes, I was surprised it melted so quickly … if only that could happen ALL of the time.

                1. Having grown up in Texas, I enjoy having the four seasons. Yes, even the snow . . . . . for a time. 😁

                  1. Well, once, a little snow on Christmas Eve is acceptable at my end. πŸ™‚

                    1. I agree. A bit of whiteness makes Christmas even more special. 😊

  4. I love this shot demonstrating the amazing viscosity of water. πŸ‘πŸΌ 🍁

    1. So glad you enjoyed it, Eliza. 😊

  5. It is a little early, but I think the leaves that are turning/have turned are mostly affected by drought, at least where we live. But we will have more opportunities to photograph autumn leaves soon.

    1. It is early here too for autumn leaves. This photo is from a few years ago. πŸ˜‰

      1. An expression of your anticipation of autumn! Completely understandable! πŸ˜ŠπŸ‚

        1. Aw, thanks! 😊

          1. You are welcome, Pepper.

  11. I like how the light strikes the water under those leaves.

    1. Thanks! Lighting makes all the difference in a photograph. 😊
