Art Deco is on display inside and out at Chicago’s Board of Trade building, a historic landmark. This light fixture reminds me of dancers, ready to spring into action and swirl through the iconic building.

! Vampires were my first thought as well. 🧛♂️ Hahaha. I can also imagine dances with their hands on their hips, leaving much to the imagination.

That is a unique design. At first I thought of a row of vampires wearing capes with the collar turned up. I am not a fan of horror movies, so I’m not sure where that thought came from, but I also think that the Cormorants drying their wings remind me of vampires, arms outstretched in their capes.
So interesting how differently people see things at first glance. Gotta love the human brain at work. 😁
Yes, it is – it reminds me of those pen-and-ink drawings you see from time to time which can be interpreted two different ways depending on how your brain perceives them.
