An Eclectic Collection

Eclectic collection

Here we have an eclectic collection of groups of three or more. First, an image of mushrooms along a trail followed by waterdrops from a fountain.

Next are three hot air balloons over Kenya captured while up in the air in another balloon.

Lastly, on the left are a threesome of mailboxes that I came across in downtown Chicago. On the right, are a flock of pigeons enjoying a quiet morning in their condos on a wall in Old San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Another post featuring the number three was “Three Sides of Curiosity.”

  11. Great collection. How did you manage to get that wonderful water drop?

    1. Thanks for asking, Julie. There were a couple of things that helped a whole lot. The water drops were tossed out from a water fountain pointed up in the air at an angle. Since the fountain was indoors, there was no wind to deal with. Second, the drops of water spurted out at a steady pace or timed sequence. I set my camera on burst mode. Then, I focused with back-button focus on one of the largest spurts of water. I tried not to move while counting seconds until the the next spurt and just held my finger on the shutter set at a fast burst rate. I did this a few times and it resulted in some great photos and some not so much. Hope that helps. 😁
