Across a Crooked Bridge

Anyone up for venturing across a crooked bridge?

I found this bridge quite by accident while exploring the Ritchie Nature Preserve in Chesterton, Indiana. It looks unstable, doesn’t it? I am always up for taking a chance and this time was no different. Yes, I made it across and back. Other than being rather narrow and crooked, it was really quite stable. Not wanting to take any chances with my camera, I did put it away in my bag before taking a step across.

  1. Sounds like you have good balance! Good call on putting your camera away to cross back and forth.

    1. Actually, I put my camera away and went across very slowly because I donโ€™t trust my balance much. ๐Ÿ˜‚

  2. Brave of you! We actually have a similar one crossing our creek, but it is wider and with more closely spaced (albeit uneven) boards. A bit wobbly, but it works. We call it our Swiss Family Robinson bridge. ๐Ÿ˜‰

    1. I am glad you think of me as brave. I look back on some things I have tried and realize things could have gone so wrong. I love the name of your bridge. ๐Ÿ˜

  3. This bridge looks like a sobriety test. Love these quirky water crossings, but you were smart to secure your camera. Allan

    1. I hadnโ€™t thought of that but I will probably not see this photo any other way now. So if I made it across the crooked bridge, did I pass or not? ๐Ÿ˜‚

      1. I think you passed with style. ๐Ÿ˜€

        1. Thanks. ๐Ÿ˜‰

    1. It was, for sure. ๐Ÿ˜‰
