Above and Below

Above and Below

Reflections – One reversible scene viewed from above and below.

A wooden walkway extending over a calm lake, surrounded by lush green trees, with reflections of the trees and walkway visible in the water.

  1. Beautiful capture of the reflections. The water looks so calm.

    1. Thanks. It was an unusually calm day, for sure.

  2. I do enjoy seeing reflections on the still water – this is a perfect mirror image!

    1. Thanks, Linda. I couldn’t have asked for better light and still water.

      1. This past year it seemed like every outing to a shoreline park would start out with calm winds and the winds would pick up while I was there. I often mentioned it in my posts. But when the water was calm, it was so good for capturing reflections. Pepper, if you are on Facebook, you should consider joining the group “Huron-Clinton Metropark Photography” – it is for photos taken in any of the 13 Michigan Metroparks. I have been in the group for a while, submitted only one photo and I enjoy following it mostly in the Spring and Summer months with all the new life, with most of the pictures taken at Kensington Metropark.

        1. I am not on fb at this time but joining that group sounds like fun. I’ll think about it. 😉

          1. I’ve been on Facebook for a while, but really for nature sites, parks I go to, the news and the weather. I never post anything myself. I’m more of a lurker. I enjoy seeing their photos and have learned a lot about various birds, especially raptors and flowers.

            1. I’d probably be a lurker too. 😀

              1. I rarely if ever comment, just read and look at the photos. If there are activities going on at a particular park, like festivals, or sports events, etc. I stay clear, so it’s good for that. Fair Lane often closes the grounds if they have a special event, so they will send out a message in advance and reminder that day.

                1. Oh, my goodness! I do the same thing and avoid events when the crowds are there. Great minds think alike. 😉

                  1. Yes, they do. That’s why I follow all my favorite “haunts” on social media, especially Heritage Park, which always has some type of event going on. I even keep a calendar so I know the dates.

  3. Such a fantastic reflection!
