A Slow Rambling

A goal was set before leaving to Arizona and it required some slow rambling while there. The objective was to get more familiar and comfortable with my Nikkor Z400mm lens and the Phoenix Zoo provided the great opportunities to carry that out. As we strolled through the zoo, I was thrilled to realize that I was not alone in my slow rambling. A giant Aldabra tortoise was also enjoying the sunshine while sauntering casually.

The image above was one of many captured with my Nikon Z7II and Z400mm lens. No worries! I promise not to post every single one of them.

    1. That was my thought too. 😉

  1. I lost my comment submitted…

    1. Interesting! I just checked my spam in case it ended up there by accident and it was not there. I don’t have a clue what is going on. 🤔

  2. Very fond of a tortoise. A giant Aldabra Tortoise is a spectacular being! May you have many happy hours with your new equipment!🙂

    1. Thanks! The tortoises are so fun to watch. The move to mirrorless was a bit scary but I have not regretted it for a second. Looking forward to see if it makes a difference in my photography. 😊

      1. Great, it is good to change and grow!

  3. Slow ramblings are great for learning! Never underestimate the power of slow but steady learning.
    Nice shot of the tortoise.

    1. You are so right! That is exactly why I enjoy doing Precept Bible Studies so much. They make me slow down as I read and study. 😊

Thoughtful words accomplish much.
