Catching up on posting pictures from my African safari has given me a chance to take a look back. Seeing wild animals in their natural environment was an adventure of a lifetime. Ten days with an average of two game drives each day was amazing. Some days, we were out before sunrise. Other times, we chased the sunset for as long as possible before heading back to camp.

We came across the lone cheetah above during one of those game drives. Our guide informed us that he is one of two surviving cheetahs known as “The Magnificent FIve”. More of the cheetahs story can be found at Africa Geographic Stories.
On the other hand, gazelles like the pair below, graze together in herds. A larger group provides more protection from predators. These two were part of a herd of about twenty gazelles.

Both of these captures were taken at the Maasai Mara National Reserve. Click here for a look at my first post on my African Safari.
