Attracted to the variety of colors and scents in the Margaret Elizabeth Jonsson Color Garden at the Dallas Arboretum and Gardens, butterflies were fluttering about from blossom to blossom.

The butterflies added beauty and hues to what was already there.โAbove, a monarch butterfly stopped just long enough for me to click.โBelow, a bright orange, Gulf fritillary (passion butterfly) was intent in showing off its outstretched wings.โBoth, the monarch and passion butterfly, are longwing butterflies with slender bodies and elongated wings.

Considered a top botanical garden by many, the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden has much to offer all year round.โ
