An abandoned house, with a broken window and one shaky wall left standing. I was fascinated that I was standing outside, looking through a window at a house being overtaken by nature.

This image was taken at Barker Woods Nature Preserve in Michigan City, Indiana one summer. By a year later, the wall had completely collapsed. Another very dissimilar scene from this one was featured in “Peace and Tranquility.”
