Chicago’s Harbor Lighthouse, a light in the storm at the entrance of the harbor. Still functional as an automated lighthouse, it is now a Chicago Landmark. Originally built for the 1893 Chicago World’s Fair and later renovated and moved. It has stood at its current location, guiding boats in and out of the Chicago Harbor since 1919.

Listed on the National Register of Historic Places, the lighthouse is easily spotted from Navy Pier. This shot was taken while on a Chicago Architecture Boat Tour. Another lighthouse shining its light in the storms of Lake Michigan was featured on “The Colors of Sunset.”
