  1. That pond is frozen solid! How are those tall grass still standing up?!

    1. That is a very good question and I don’t have a clue. It isn’t uncommon in this area to see this type of tall grass remain up in frozen lakes. Now you’ve got me wondering . . . .I’ll have to see if I can find out the answer. 🤔

      1. Nature is resilient and adjusts to harsh environments. It is interesting…how do they stay alive?! It’s icy cold. Thanks for sharing your picture…makes me wonder too and thankful for the beauty of nature.

  2. I was taking some photos just like your composition at my refuge, but mine had water, no ice, in the background. And it was cold for me! Kudos, Pepper, for your cold bravery, especially in a breeze!

    1. It’s all a matter of bundling up in layers. I also head back to the car often to warm up. 😉

  3. That’s how you know it’s cold outside! The wind is always the worst. But I do love how it makes the tall grasses dance.

    1. The wind makes a huge difference. Out on the lakeshore, there are no trees to block the wind. 😨

  4. It even looks cold!

    1. It has been a bit cold but today is a bit warmer and full of sunshine again. All is well. 😊

Thoughtful words accomplish much.
