Up Close and Personal

Wherever I happen to be (whether home or traveling), on most mornings you can find me hiking along a trail with my finger on the shutter of my camera ready to snap a picture. There is so much beauty in nature that rarely do I go through a day without seeing something that is worth stopping time and capturing forever.

The type of photography that brings me the most joy is macro photography. There is something so special about slowing down and getting up close and personal to a flower, insect, raindrop, or leaf and noticing the intricate details that are so often missed by walking right past while headed to the next destination.

  1. I couldn’t agree more about how there is so much beauty in nature. Macro photography seems like a good way to slow down and actually look to see what’s around you.
