Time for Preening

I don’t remember ever seeing pelicans until we spent Thanksgiving in Cabo San Lucas a couple of years ago. I found myself spellbound by these pelicans as they took some time for preening.

    1. Thanks. These were the first that I remember seeing. I keep thinking that I must have seen some along Texas Gulf Coast when we lived there but I canโ€™t remember. ๐Ÿ˜

    I find it pretty amazing too on how birds with different size beaks can still easily preen themselves.

  8. I saw my first pelicans when I visited Myrtle Beach, SC in 2001. You’re right–these birds are magnificent! Nice shot! ๐Ÿ™‚
