When I was growing up. my mother and I made lovely holiday decorations from dried weeds, magnolia leaves, cones, gum balls, seed pods…painted silver and gold. Your lovely photo reminded me. ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. What a delightful memory to have of time spent with your mom. Thanks for sharing it. ๐Ÿ™‚

These are beautiful tones of winter browns! Wonderful details!!

    1. So glad you liked the images. It is that time of year when colorful macro shots are almost nonexistent in the outdoors. ๐Ÿ™‚

  4. Wonderful pictures.

    1. Thank you, Anita. ๐Ÿ˜Š

  5. Beautiful dormancy!

    1. Thanks! Even winter can be lovely. ๐Ÿ˜Š

  6. We made our first visit to the Indiana Dunes in October. It was quite busy because we happened to arrive on the weekend of the home tours from those houses of tomorrow. Timing is everything.

    1. You are so right about timing. The week of the home tours and the Birding Festival are two times that I avoid going anywhere close to the Indiana Dunes National Park or State Park. I hope you come back. There is a lot to see along the trails. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Thoughtful words accomplish much.
