Here we have a leftover photo smorgasbord of 2022. Starting out above (on the left) with the Bamboo Forest in Haleakala National Forest in Maui to the tops of trees on the Indiana Dunes National Park trails on the right.
Below is a view from Brush Creek Ranch in Wyoming captured last month. Next to that is a sunny, fall morning at Moraine Nature Preserve in Valparaiso, Indiana. Earlier in the year, a pastel poppy was showing off its beauty at the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden in Texas.

I don’t think I have ever seen a pastel poppy. I imagine a field of them quite impressive. The bamboo forest is so cool. What kind of wildlife do you see there? I guess as its Maui, anything that loves tropical climates. Happy New Year.
There were quite a lot of poppies in the arboretum, for sure. Tried really hard to think back on wildlife along the bamboo forest and I couldn’t think of seeing any animals other than birds. Probably because the bamboo is actually quite thick in most places where wildlife could easily stay hidden. It is also a very popular trail so there can be quite a lot of people hiking especially during high season. 😊
Well I can see why. Its cool, and interesting.
