Joy of Hiking

The joy of hiking includes exercise that never feels like a workout. That is unquestionably my definition of hiking.

Otherwise, why would I keep putting one foot in front of the other while walking uphill and down, through snow in the the winter, and mosquitoes biting in the summer?

On top of all that, put a camera in my hands and the adventures never cease. Plus, a camera is a perfect excuse to stop to frame a perfect photo when you really just need time to catch your breath.

Life is better in hiking boots.

    1. Thank you, Christine. Have a wonderful Friday. ๐Ÿ˜Š

  4. Beautiful place to hike! I agree with your definition of hiking and stopping to take a camera break.

    1. Thanks! I think my hubby has caught on to the reason for me needing to take a photo from the top of every sand dune. ๐Ÿ˜‰

      1. Keep taking those photos! You’ll be surprised at what you find each time. We camera happy people must take pictures ALWAYS. ๐Ÿ™‚

        1. I agree completely. ๐Ÿ˜Š

  5. Well now, I like that perspective! –>exercise that never feels like a workout!

    1. I can honestly say that about hiking. I get bored walking on concrete but put me out on a trail in the middle of nowhere and I suddenly become the Energizer bunny. ๐Ÿ˜‚

      1. Wish I had more trail options near me. Well, I kind of do, but they are hot and deserty ๐Ÿ˜But we have a bike/walking path along the wash a few houses down. I’ve put a lot of miles on that path!

        1. Hot and deserty can be tough on most days. My hubby would like to move to the desert but I am not sure I am ready for that. ๐Ÿ˜ง

          1. Yeah, it takes getting used to. But it’s a dry heat! And it really does make a difference!!

  6. You’re fortunate to have such a beautiful place to hike! ๐Ÿ™‚

    1. I have to agree with you. I had no idea that there were so many trails to explore before moving here. ๐Ÿ˜Š

Thoughtful words accomplish much.
