Built with the longest tunnel system I’ve ever seen. Castillo San Cristobal in San Juan, Puerto Rico is also the largest fortress built in the Americas. That probably also explains the fantastic and endless doors that lead from room to room.

Castillo San Cristobal is a National Historic Site and worth the time to explore its three levels of defense.

Love the arched doors and how they look like they go on forever
They definitely got my attention. π
First no comment, now two for ya! Cheers, Pepper!
Oh, the wonders of WordPress! π I think more comments are helpful to being found by search engines so thanks. Keep those comments coming. π
Love your tunnel vision! π
Great tunnel vision! π
Well, that was one that got away… It was one of our cruise ship stops many years back. Due to weather we got in late, and got to the fort after it closed βΉοΈ Then we kind of got side tracked checking out around the fort. Heading back to the town, I ended up with blisters from new sandals so we didn’t explore any more of the town (it was dark buy then). But, I learned taking multiple sandals is key, as the blister wasn’t a bother the rest of the cruise! ππ©΄Wish we could have seen it though!
Oh, no! San Juan is well worth exploring and a great reason to go back. Maybe schedule another cruise? π
You just never know!!! π
I love the depth in that first photo
That is exactly why I couldn’t resist clicking. It draws the eye in, doesn’t it? π
Love the infinite shots either through a series of doors or openings or in a mirror. Now that is depth. Happy Tuesday Pepper. Allan
So glad you enjoyed the doors. I couldnβt resist clicking when I saw them. π
