Bird of Many Colors

My first attempt ever at writing a haiku. Never too old to try something new, right?

Parakeet, maybe?

  1. You are living proof of the fact that birds have always inspired poetry. 🙂

    1. Thanks, Tanja. I think I might have to do some more bird watching. 😉

      1. I hope you will. 🐦🦉🦅

  2. Cute poem! 🙂

    1. Thanks, Donna. 😊

  3. Way to go!! Never too late!

    1. Thanks, Manja. I have way too much on my list of things to try and places to go to slow down now. If I stop, I might realize how many things I have missed and give up trying. 😂

  4. Well done!!! Both in terms of your excellent picture of the amazing bird as well as your words.
Nor have I ever tried to write a haiku, maybe I should try…😁

    1. Thanks for the encouragement, Anita. I had thought about trying one for awhile and finally took the plunge. It was fun. 😁

  5. Love this beautifu, colorful bird!

    1. I do too! There were lots of them and they kept us entertained. 😊

  6. Good job on poem. I think your bird may be a young parrot by the shape of his beak. We had one similar named, “Bubba.”

    1. Bubba, a great name for a parrot. Hadn’t even considered that it might be a parrot. There were dozens of these little birds nesting in the eaves of the roofs. Thanks for your help. 😊

    1. Thanks, Sandy. 😊

Thoughtful words accomplish much.
